Windows update:

1) Download the SoundForce drivers for Windows, extract the zip and run the “install_drivers” script inside the drivers folder, say yes to any prompt, and then close the windows

2) Install Java for Windows (you probably already have some version installed) : https://www.java.com/en/download/

3) Download the Windows update app zip file, extract the zip file and run the “SoundForce_update_app” file

4) Plug in your controller while holding the SHIFT button for 5 seconds

5) Press a key on your computer keyboard as requested

6) If the update was successful, you should read the following message at the bottom:
Starting download: [#########################################] finished
!
state(8) = dfuMANIFEST-WAIT-RESET, status(0) = No error condition is present
Done!
Resetting USB to switch back to runtime mode
timeout waiting for cu.SLAB_USBtoUART serial
Press any key to continue . . .

7) If the process is hanging simply close the window and run the script again.

Mac update:

You will need to run 2 programs, for both you will first have to authorize them in System preferences -> Security & privacy.

1) First run the Driver install script for Mac. This will open the Terminal application, press enter/return and type your password when asked.

2) Unplug the controller

3) Download the MAC update app zip file, extract the zip file and run the “SoundForce_update_app” file

4) Plug in your controller while holding the SHIFT button for 5 seconds

5) Then run the updater app, you will need to authorize as well

6) The updater starts right away and you should see a lot of text with at the bottom :

7) If the process is hanging simply close the window and run the script again.
