The SoundForce SFC-8 Rev B is a premium specialized MIDI controller dedicated to Jupiter-8 plugin emulations. With over 83 controls, its layout mirrors the iconic Jupiter-8, giving you true analog-style control of today’s most powerful software emulations. Built like a tank, mapped like a classic synth, and flexible enough for any MIDI environment, the SFC-8 bridges the gap between vintage workflow and modern sound design.

In 2026, the SFC-8 has received a esthetic update with a more Jupiter-like front panel and compact Roland-style rotary knobs. The functionality and firmware is 100% the same as the original version.

The SFC-8 is assembled in the Netherlands using high-quality components sourced from Europe and Asia. Its enclosure is built entirely from sheet metal, featuring a bent-steel chassis finished with a durable black powder coat. The aluminum front panel is also powder-coated and screen-printed with scratch-resistant white and orange graphics. Both sides are fitted with elegant 8 mm walnut wood panels for a refined, vintage-inspired look.

Backed by over ten years of MIDI-hardware expertise, the SFC-8 is part of SoundForce’s newest generation of controllers. Its pots, sliders, and switches were chosen after extensive research to deliver outstanding tactile response, long-lasting performance, and rock-solid reliability during assembly.

Because the SFC-8 outputs standard MIDI CC messages, it can be paired with any software or hardware that supports MIDI CC mapping. However, since each plugin has its own UI and MIDI implementation, the firmware provides dedicated plugin modes to ensure proper integration. Two-way communication means the SoundForce controller and a supported plugin can talk to each other in both directions, instead of the controller only sending MIDI data one-way. In practice, that creates a far more “hardware-like” experience when using software synths. Change a preset, load a new instance on another track, move a parameter with your mouse and the controller automatically syncs its LED switches, and ingest the pot data in memory. When the received pot data from the plugin differs from the actual pot position on the controller, 3 options similar to Ableton take over modes can be chosen from: jump, pick-up and smoothing. The SFC-8 includes a USB port for power and USB-MIDI, plus classic 5-pin DIN-MIDI I/O. Any MIDI data received through the DIN input is automatically merged with the controller’s own messages and routed to both MIDI outputs. This means you can plug in a keyboard or sequencer and use the SFC-8 as a USB-MIDI interface, or daisy-chain hardware via the DIN output. With full DIN-MIDI compatibility for everything from modern synths to vintage gear—and a powerful control-panel app for custom mappings and CC assignments—the SFC-8 adapts effortlessly to any studio setup.
